Judah - 10 Months

Judah's personality is blossoming before our eyes.  He is funny, mischievous and focused like a bullet.  He will get his mind set on something and there is no deviating or distracting him from his mission.  He is always serious unless you are tickling him, in a game of chase, or singing songs.  He loves to dance to music and doesn't stay still for long.  He also loves to stand at Jackson's toy box and just chuck everything out that he can reach.  He pulls up on everything...stools, bathtub, chairs, couch, ottoman, leg, bed, the dog, etc.  He also loves, loves, loves baths.  He gets so excited when he realizes he's about to get a bath.  He will try and dive out of your arms and into the bathtub.  He now weighs 18 pounds 12 ounces and is 29 inches long.  He is a great eater of table food, but is having some difficulty nursing at the moment.  Alas, no matter how quickly he is growing up, Jackson is quick to remind us that Judah is NOT a big boy, but a baby.

Two Jolly Boys

The boys are SO excited about Christmas!  Judah just races to the Christmas Tree if he ever gets the chance and enjoys putting the "kid-safe" ornaments in his mouth.  But Jackson, on the other hand, is really enjoying everything about the season.  We walk into a store and when he sees all the decorations, his face lights up and he exclaims, "Christmas!" He loves the fire, the Christmas tree, the lights, the cookie making, the music, the Hallmark channel (yes, he asks for me to turn on Christmas), the hats and gloves, his new bulldozer ornament and candy canes!!!  Despite all the fun and traditions, we are trying our best to reinforce that we do all these things the whole month to celebrate Jesus's birthday.  We are generous in this season because the Lord has been generous to us and all gifts point to THE gift of Jesus.

A Little Bit of Everything

This past month has been a complete blur full of special family time and growing changes for the boys!  Here is a random collection of a few fun memories!!

We went to the Darlington Raceway for the first time for a BBQ festival and car show.  For the right price you could even take a trip around the track in a race car.  Watching the race cars go "fast" was the highlight of the day for Jackson.  Although, he managed to put away a good amount of BBQ, too.

Judah, in the meantime, has learned to pull up on everything and walk along the furniture.  He gets around everywhere and is SO fast!

Jackson has discovered his independence while shopping and he is no longer content to just sit in the back of the shopping cart.  He would much rather participate in the shopping experience or taking a thrilling ride on the backside of the cart.  We have suddenly been finding extra items in the cart that Jack-Jack deems good purchases.  Luckily, we have found all of his additions before checkout!  Haha
