4th of July

It brings us so much joy to see our boys loving on each other!  We know they will have their moments where they wont get along, but we pray that they will be the best of friends and will love each other with all their hearts!  Right now they are going through this sweet phase where they adore each other.  They are always hugging on each other and it just warms our hearts to see it!  However, with Judah still being so little, it is difficult to supervise the interaction and snap a picture at the same time.  Even as I type this, Jackson is talking to Judah and giving him sweet kisses on the cheek.

Good Morning Hugs

We celebrated the 4th of July with our church family at a parking lot tailgate and cookout the Sunday evening before.  We didn't stay for the fireworks show, though, as it would have been hours past the boys bed time.  Jackson got two skinned knees twice over while running to meet up with his girl friends.  The balloon elephant and giraffe helped ease the sting until those, too, popped.

We spent the actual July 4th at the beach with our good friend, Jenn.  It was a beautiful day and we beat the crowds by going early in the day.  Jackson and daddy even got to fly a turtle kite!  Jackson loved this but was completely lost to the fact that if he wanted to keep the kite from flying away, he had to hold onto the string handle.   His favorite part of the day  was playing in the surf and he spent the majority of the time in the water with daddy.  Getting sprayed with seawater didn't seem to phase him and was all smiles as the waves came in and out.
