Jackson has discovered that playing in the dining room is great fun. Not only are the windows perfect height for looking out into the front yard, but the table is just high enough for him to walk under and the chairs provide lots of opportunities to climb and walk through and around. Boosie also follows him in and around the dining room table and Jackson thinks its great fun to hide under the table for Boosie to find him.
Bryan still gives me a hard time about the first time Jackson discovered going under the dining room table. I was talking on the phone with Bryan who was at work and Jackson had crawled off as I was putting some laundry away. I went around the house calling for him over and over again and couldn't find him in any room or any of his usual "go to" spots for mischief. Jackson thought it was great fun that I couldn't find him and stayed quiet. I finally spotted him under the table and he had a huge grin on his face! He thought it was such a fun game! Hopefully that is the one and only time I lose our child!!
However, after a week of playing daily under the table, he has a head full of bruises!! He may clear the table top with his head, but there are still several support structures underneath that he repeatedly bumps his head on. The child looks like we beat him, but the bumps and bruises don't seem to bother him or slow him down.
